Overview
ATDI's HTZ Web API enables military system integrators to embed advanced RF planning and spectrum engineering capabilities directly into an existing operational platform developed for a European defence organisation.

Challenges Facing Industry

Modern defence organisations depend on interconnected C2, mission-planning and spectrum-management systems rather than standalone engineering applications. The challenge is making sophisticated RF modelling available within these environments without adding interfaces, manual data transfer, or specialist workflows. Spectrum-dependent operations also require calculations to respond rapidly to changing mission parameters. Open integration is therefore critical, enabling existing military platforms to access propagation, coverage, interference and network analysis while preserving established operational processes and familiar user interfaces.

Project Approach / Demonstration

Working with a military systems integrator supporting a European defence organisation, ATDI used HTZ Web API to integrate advanced spectrum-engineering capabilities within a wider defence-system architecture. Rather than requiring operators to work directly in HTZ Warfare, the API lets the host application automatically submit parameters and calculation requests to the HTZ engine. Using RESTful services and structured data exchange, complex RF modelling can be incorporated directly into established workflows, with results returned to the operational platform. This approach lets the integrator keep its existing user environment while adding propagation, coverage, interference, and network-planning capabilities across the wider system.

Solution Outcome

The project demonstrates how advanced spectrum engineering can become an embedded capability within existing defence systems. By integrating RF modelling through HTZ Web API, complex calculations can be automated and delivered through familiar operational workflows, reducing manual intervention and supporting faster, more consistent analysis for spectrum-dependent mission planning and decision-making.
