INTERFACE
The "Polygon Raster+SHP polygons” feature targets coverage analysis for a selected area by overlaying raster and SHP polygon data, similar to the "Report/Raster file/Raster+SHP polygons covered" but confined to defined area.
The Statistics/Coverage maps/Pusch Throughput maps feature now includes an option to display UL (Uplink) throughput maps in Mbps. This enhancement allows users to visualise uplink data rates more effectively, supporting detailed performance analysis of network capacity and user experience.
The "Elevation" field has been added to the Station Parameters/Site tab. This feature now considers multiple elevation factors, including the antenna height, clutter height, clutter reference height (over ground or over clutter), and reference elevation (ASL or AGL), providing more precise site configuration and analysis.
For 3D antennas, when mechanical tilt is selected in Preferences, no further correction to pattern attenuation will be applied. Electrical tilt is assumed to be pre-integrated into the 3D pattern, ensuring accurate representation without additional adjustments.
CALCULATIONS
The Tx/Rx FS Coverage Calculation under the Coverage/Network Calculation menu allows users to calculate field strength (FS) coverage between transmitters and receivers. The Coverage Button initiates this process, and users can press <Ctrl+K> to access it directly.
A new option, "Update Existing Coverage", has been added. When selected, this option updates the current coverage data by replacing it with new coverage values where the field strength exceeds 0 dBµV/m. This is useful when running simulations in different environments (e.g., altering the propagation model, clutter settings, or coverage distance), as it allows for the refinement of coverage analysis without starting from scratch.
HTZ WARFARE – INTERFACE
The <F8> shortcut now activates the new MaXar module in HTZ Warfare, allowing users to access the latest high-resolution datasets through the MaXar service. This function enhances coverage and network analysis by seamlessly integrating up-to-date map data, and allow for precise and efficient planning.
Check out the latest cartographic datasets released. These royalty-free datasets are a valuable addition to your cartographic toolkit and are accessible to the customer portal. Here's a summary of the data resolutions and their locations:

Australia takes a uniquely decentralised approach to radio spectrum management, relying on 56 independent Accredited Persons (APs) to oversee the nation’s frequency assignments. Since its launch, HTZ Communications with the RRL Plug-in has become the preferred tool for over 50% of ACMA-registered APs, including government and defence agencies, major mining companies, telecom operators, and industry consultants. These users depend on HTZ Communications daily for precise frequency interference and assignment studies, benefitting from seamless access to essential data.
David Britt from DB Telecommunications Pty Ltd shared, “HTZ Communications and the RRL Plug-in have transformed my business. The software’s integration with the ACMA database enables me to complete frequency assignments with greater accuracy and faster turnaround than other tools I’ve used. Its advanced capabilities also support complex microwave network assignments and sophisticated 5G spectrum planning.”
HTZ’s unique adaptability is evident in its tailored approach to spectrum management. By simplifying processes, ATDI enables APs to handle assignments and interference analyses swiftly, significantly reducing manual workload. Supporting features like cloud access, automated workflows, and local data hosting, ensures spectrum managers can operate with the speed, accuracy, and confidence essential in today’s demanding radiocommunications environment.
The ITU World Radiocommunication Seminar (WRS) is a biennial event focused on the management and regulation of radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, with a specific emphasis on the ITU Radio Regulations. The upcoming WRS-24 will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 2 to 6 December 2024, offering professionals and stakeholders worldwide a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of regulatory practices and spectrum management principles.
Running alongside this event is the Future Radio Exhibition (Future Radio Now), showcasing innovations shaping the future of radio technologies. ATDI will have a dedicated stand, welcoming current and prospective customers from around the world. Our team will be on hand to present the latest updates and enhancements to our automated spectrum management solutions, giving attendees a firsthand look at new features designed to streamline regulatory compliance and optimise spectrum use.
