|

HTZ continues to evolve, with new features and modifications designed to enhance the user experience, improve RF analysis capabilities, and support critical spectrum management tasks.

Calculations
Near-field Calculation Improvement
Near-field diffraction is now more accurately modelled in accordance with ITU-R P.368. This improves the modelling of obstacles close to the transmitter that affect signal strength and attenuation along the path profile.

Propagation Model: ITU-R P.1147 Update
The SSN ITU table used in the P.1147 model has been updated (2000–2026), ensuring more accurate ionospheric and propagation predictions.

Update: ITM (NTIA) Model Version Control
A new “Version 1.2” option allows users to switch between ITM model versions (v1.2.2 and v1.2), providing greater flexibility and consistency when comparing results across studies.

Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2): Method Removal
The AVX2 computing method has been removed from ITU-R P.1812-8 and P.452-18 models to ensure compatibility with certain systems and to ensure more stable and consistent performance.

Interface
Station Tree View: Additional Display Fields
New Info (1) and TAC/LAC fields have been added, improving visibility and management of network parameters within the interface.

Fixed Radiocoms (MW and PMP)
Coverage / Network Interference / SNIR Maps: Throughput Map Enhancement
The throughput map now reports average spectrum efficiency (bits/Hz) based on the best server and SNIR values at each pixel. This provides a clearer understanding of network performance and capacity across the coverage area.

MW Link Parameters: Status Parameter Display
User-defined “Status” parameters are now visible in MW link reports and listings, improving reporting clarity and operational tracking.

Path / Flight Track: Multi-Channel Support
Now supports multi-channel transmitters and receivers, enabling more realistic modelling of complex communication scenarios.

Interface
File / Save Functions applied to cartographic layers: Resampling Confirmation
A confirmation prompt has been added when applying a resampling factor greater than 1, reducing the risk of unintended project modifications.

Status Bar: Resampling Indicator
An orange indicator now highlights when a resampling factor >1 is applied, improving visibility of project settings.

Indoor Project / SHP File (IDR): Extended Code Mapping
Users can now map indoor DBF codes greater than 10 with IDR codes, enhancing flexibility in indoor modelling workflows.

Map / Data Converter: Batch File Option
A new “Use GDAL BAT file” option has been added. If checked, a .BAT file will be generated containing the commands required to perform the file conversion. If not, no batch file is created, and the process is hidden.
