South Korea’s Defence Tech Drive: Insights from ADEX

|

Our time at ADEX in Seoul confirmed South Korea’s growing influence in global defence innovation. With a stated goal to become one of the world’s top four defence powers by 2030, the country is investing heavily in unmanned systems, AI-enabled platforms, and electromagnetic operations.

Under its “Defence Innovation 4.0” strategy, South Korea is shifting from system imports to high-value exports, developing indigenous fighter jets, autonomous weapons, and advanced surveillance tools. This transformation is rapidly positioning the country as a global leader in defence technology.

Strategic Alignment with ATDI

South Korea’s focus on spectrum-dominant environments and autonomous systems closely mirrors ATDI’s own capabilities. At ADEX, interest centred on drone detection, swarm modelling, and mission planning —areas where HTZ Communications delivers mission-critical value.

We also saw strong engagement from domestic partners looking to integrate real-time RF modelling, automated decision tools, and API-based workflows into their systems.

Building on Momentum

As South Korea expands its defence tech footprint, our solutions are well-placed to support national and regional needs. HTZ’s role in electromagnetic dominance, unmanned coordination, and spectrum planning continues to grow on the ground and across the region.
