Product Overview

Managing the performance of a wireless network can be onerous, particularly given the huge amount of network performance data collected through measurement and monitoring campaigns. Unlike national spectrum regulators who operate sophisticated network monitoring and analysis solutions (see ICS Monitoring SDRN), network operators rely on a variety of methods to capture and analyse data.

HTZ Analyzer forms part of ATDI’s spectrum management solution. It integrates live network performance, measurement and configuration data directly into HTZ to provide accurate predictions and feedback from the network.

Benefits

HTZ Analyzer handles the analysis of network data from various sources. It compares simulations generated by HTZ with data captured via a measurement campaign.

The software allows users to visualise the data in two modes:

  • Spatial mode to depict the signal strength along a drive test path;
  • KPI mode to show parameters that belong to a given station.

HTZ Analyzer contains a python-scripting module to allow users to implement their procedures.  Similarly, the application uses GPU (OpenCL) to optimise the speed of calculations.

  • HTZ Analyzer allows users to visualise data from HTZ software
  • Compare test drive data from before and after network changes
  • Compare the simulated values and measured values
  • To calculate and analyse data statistically

Features

Key product features include:

  • Data-processing of drive-test data – to analyse real-network quality and coverage measurement results. To verify, optimise and troubleshoot radio access networks;
  • Performance management (PM) – to analyse and present network quality of service, availability and traffic information. And to detect irregular network behaviour and service degradations;
  • Configuration management (CM) – to compare network configurations against the required network baseline and ID configuration discrepancies. To audit and monitor changes made to the network by different sources;
  • RAN optimisation and analytics – to analyse cell and UE traces to minimise the need for drive-tests. Incorporate geo-location of measurement data and traffic maps analysis and to optimise and troubleshoot the RAN;
  • Business intelligence (BI) – provide live visual data analytics. To access and merge disparate data. To perform calculations from existing data and forecasts and review statistical summaries. To create interactive maps;
  • Configure data and visualise variations -  manage geo-located UE measurements (3GPP MDT) data analysis. And visualise and correlate live network data with predicted coverage indicators. To detect critical zones for radio network capacity planning and optimisation. And to export data to kml, xlsx, xml and json formats. Allows users to perform comparisons, filtering, data combining from multiple data sources.
