This article looks at how HTZ simulates and analyses the impact of tropospheric conditions on microwave communications, by providing accurate and reliable predictions of the behavior of microwave signals in the troposphere using the ITU-R 617-5 propagation model.

Modelling sound propagation for digital sirens

German Authorities turn to ATDI to simulate the sound for a new digital siren system. The sound coverage calculator in HTZ assesses the sound propagation based on several mitigating factors including the impact of the terrain, building density, signal strength and heights of transmitters.

Latest map data release – ATDI

ATDI releases the population dataset for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The dataset emanates from the 2020 population census which estimates the population per grid cell.
